Due to a significant occurrence of no-shows and last-minute cancellations, we now require all clients to have a debit/credit card on file with our salon.
We reserve the right to automatically process charges on your card for any breaches concerning our policies on Last Minute Cancellations or No Shows.
Failure to maintain a payment method on file will result in an inability to schedule future appointments. Upon termination of your client relationship with our salon, your credit card information will be automatically deleted.
Your data will be securely stored and shielded in a robust system managed by Square Inc. Adhering to PCI Compliance standards, Square ensures that your information is inaccessible once entered into the system.
VACCINATIONS
In alignment with Pennsylvania State Law, it is mandatory for all pets availing services at our salon to have a current Rabies vaccination. Proof of this vaccination, endorsed by veterinary documentation, must be provided to us for our records.
While vaccinations for Bordetella, Distemper, Lyme, or Influenza are not obligatory for service eligibility at our salon, we strongly recommend considering these vaccinations for your pet. This is particularly advised if your pet will frequently be in environments where they may interact with other dogs, as a preventive measure against common canine diseases.
HEALTH CONDITIONS & SENIOR PETS
Grooming, while essential for pet wellbeing, can at times be a stressful experience, notably for senior pets or those with existing health conditions. The grooming process can potentially reveal undisclosed medical issues or exacerbate present conditions either during or post-grooming. Given the heightened risk of injury for these pets, our grooming approach prioritizes cleanliness and comfort, adopting styles that minimize stress.
It's important to note that any veterinary costs arising from health conditions, whether discovered or aggravated during grooming, shall be borne by the pet owner.
VETERINARIAN AUTHORIZATION
Though accidents are exceedingly rare, risks exist when handling animals. Grooming equipment is sharp, and despite our utmost caution and diligence in every scenario, potential issues such as cuts, nicks, scratches, or quicking of nails may arise. These incidents typically occur when an animal is excessively wiggly or moves abruptly. Your pet's safety is our paramount concern. In the unfortunate event of an accident, should it be grave and the pet owner is absent, we will secure immediate medical attention for your pet. If the mishap is ascertained to be due to groomer negligence, Fresh as a Daisy Dog Spaw will bear the veterinary expenses. However, Fresh as a Daisy Dog Spaw will not assume the costs for any accidents resulting from severe matting, aggression, or owner neglect.
FLEAS AND TICKS
Fresh as a Daisy Dog Spaw strives to maintain a flea-free salon environment. In the event of a severe flea infestation on your pet, they will be sent home. Subsequently, you may opt to return them as the final appointment of the day for a flea bath, borne at your expense. An additional charge of $25/hr is levied for a flea bath, encompassing the cost of a pesticide bug bomb deployed at day's end, and a thorough salon sanitization routine. Any ticks found will be removed free of charge, and you will be notified accordingly. Should you decide against a flea bath, or a return visit on the same day, we are happy to arrange a future appointment once the parasitic issue has been resolved. A last-minute cancellation fee will be incurred. It's advisable for all pets to adhere to a parasite prevention regimen to circumvent health complications such as anemia, skin disorders, tapeworms, Lyme disease, among others.
REFUSAL OF SERVICE
Pet owners are required to notify Fresh as a Daisy Dog Spaw if their pet has exhibited biting behavior, or has been aggressive towards individuals, other dogs, specific grooming procedures, or basic veterinary processes. Fresh as a Daisy Dog Spaw reserves the right to decline services at any juncture should we deem it unsafe. If a pet becomes overly stressed, dangerous to groom, or causes damage to our property, we hold the right to halt grooming services at any moment, and send the animal home, irrespective of the grooming status. Pet owners will be billed for the full grooming appointment. Fresh as a Daisy Dog Spaw may suggest the administration of an oral sedative to alleviate your pet's grooming-related stress, or recommend a visit to a veterinary clinic with an on-site veterinarian to handle any emergent situations.
DIGITAL AGREEMENT
Fresh as a Daisy Dog Spaw actively engages on social media, and may share photos or videos of the salon and the animals during the course of the day. Should you prefer not to have your pet photographed, we request that you inform us in advance. Please note that photos captured within our facility are deemed our property and may be utilized as deemed necessary, at our discretion.
SATISFACTION
Your satisfaction is our priority. Should you find any aspect of the grooming service unsatisfactory, we are pleased to make adjustments to your pet's groom within 48 hours from pickup. Beyond the 48-hour period, we are happy to provide a re-grooming service at the full cost. Please note that refunds will not be accommodated under any circumstances.
MATTED COATS/SHAVE DOWNS
Pets with matted coats necessitate extra care. We prioritize avoiding any severe or undue stress or discomfort to your pet by refraining from brushing out severely matted coats. In such cases, pets will be shaved to the extent that is accessible beneath the matted coats, which may result in the pet being entirely shorn. Shaving matted dogs can lead to cuts, nicks, razor burns, ear hematomas, or reveal underlying skin issues such as bacterial infections, skin irritations, or embedded objects. Your pet's behavior may also be affected for a few days post-grooming, especially if they are unaccustomed to being shaved so closely. Fresh as a Daisy will not bear responsibility for any complications arising from the shaving of a matted coat. To circumvent such issues in the future, we advocate a regular grooming regimen for your pet, alongside frequent brushing and combing at home between salon visits. If your pet is brought in with matted fur on a recurring basis, we reserve the right to discontinue our services to you, attributing it to the neglect of your pet. The cost of grooming may increase by 50% up to 100% depending on the condition of your pet's coat.
DOODLES, POODLES, & POO MIXES
We mandate an 8-week rotation or less for all poodles, doodles, and poos, given the extensive maintenance they require and the time entailed for their grooming. Failure to adhere to our scheduling guidelines will lead to denial of your future appointment requests. These mixed breeds demand significant upkeep due to the combination of their curly and double/triple coats, and we will no longer accommodate the recurrent necessity to shave dogs down owing to poor coat conditions. Our salon does not offer consistent shave downs attributable to matting. Should your pet repeatedly present in poor or matted condition, we reserve the right to maintain your pet in a short clip or decline future services. We will not tolerate neglect in our salon in the name of aesthetics. A physical signature on our matted release waiver will be required each time your pet necessitates a shave down due to matting.
Should there arise a situation where your pet has matted fur and you opt against allowing us to shave it, choosing instead to take your dog home, please be informed that all future services will be declined. Additionally, a last-minute cancellation fee will be imposed.
NO CALL NO SHOWS
A no-show is defined as a client failing to attend their scheduled appointment without providing prior notice. In such instances, the client will be liable to cover the cost of the missed grooming appointment, up to 100%. This fee must be settled before another appointment can be scheduled. While we understand unforeseen circumstances may arise, we are willing to waive this fee in case of emergencies, to a reasonable extent. Should a pattern of no-shows or cancellations without sufficient notice emerge, the concerned client will be required to make a non-refundable prepayment of up to 100% while booking future appointments. Our establishment operates on a one-on-one, appointment-only basis. Missed appointments result in unfilled slots in our schedule, impacting not only the revenue of the business but also the personal income of our dedicated groomers.
CANCELLATIONS / RESCHEDULING
In order to ensure smooth operations and availability of services to all our clients, we have instituted the following policy regarding appointment cancellations and rescheduling:
1. **Notification Requirement**: We kindly request that any cancellations or rescheduling of appointments be communicated to us at least 48 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment time.
2. **Appointment Reminders**: An automated reminder will be sent out three days prior to your appointment, which we require all clients to confirm. If not confirmed, a second reminder will be sent two days prior to your appointment.
3. **Cancellation/Rescheduling Fee**: Failure to provide a 48-hour notice for cancellations or rescheduling will incur a fee up to 100% of the appointment cost. Adequate notice allows us the opportunity to fill the appointment slot and mitigate loss of income, ensuring that we continue to provide excellent service to all our clients.
4. **New Client Protocol**: If you are a new client (meaning we have not previously serviced your dog) and cancel or reschedule appointments three times consecutively, we regret to inform you that we will be unable to provide future services.

1. **Collection Window**: Clients are required to collect their pets within 1 hour of being notified of the completion of the grooming service. A call or text message will be sent to inform you when your pet is ready or nearing readiness for collection.
2. **Daycare Space Limitation**: Fresh as a Daisy Dog Spaw operates with limited daycare space and staff. Our daycare facility requires advance booking and on certain occasions, we cater to pets requiring individual attention in a solo setting. Consequently, we may not have the capacity to accommodate pets for an extended period post-grooming.
3. **Additional Daycare Fee**: Pets left at our facility for over 1 hour post-notification will incur a daycare fee, added to the grooming charges, as per our prevailing daycare rates.
4. **Final Collection Time**: All pets, whether from grooming or daycare, must be collected by 5 PM. Any pet remaining post-5 PM will incur an additional fee of $20 per hour, along with the applicable daycare charges.
5. **Procedure for Uncollected Pets**: If a pet is not collected by 6 PM, it will be transported to the nearest SPCA or veterinary clinic for safekeeping. A police report for theft of services will be filed. Kindly note that per zoning regulations, we are prohibited from housing pets in our salon overnight and we do not have the provision to accommodate extra pets in our home.
**Prepayment Requirement**: If you are required to prepay for your appointment at any time, please note that such prepayment is non-refundable. You may transfer your appointment to a different slot one time, provided that more than 72 hours notice is given prior to the original appointment time. In the event that adequate notice is not provided for a transfer, the prepayment will be forfeited. To reschedule, a new deposit will be required.
